Starting at 10:30 am the leaders take you to a private terrace rented specifically for the event where you can drink as much as you can in the hour or so before you move on to the bars. Not keen on spending the entire night in one spot? No worries, Hvar puts on a great pub crawl.

Full moon parties are supposed to be off the wall! Also, if you are visiting during the full moon- make sure that’s the night you go. Tip: Boats only leave when they are full, so head to the bar along the marina for a couple drinks first where you can keep an eye on the boat to see how quickly it’s filling up. But, to say you partied on an island all night long might be worth it. This includes your boat ride there and back and entrance but no drinks, and of course drinks are pretty pricey with the cheapest shot running at 45 kuna. It’s not cheap though cover charge ranges from 150-200 kuna per person. Partiers board boats starting at 12:15am to drive out to the island James Bond style where they can dance and drink the night away-literally.

What is it? It’s a night club on a small island. The most famous party of Hvar happens every night during high season (weather permitting) at Carpe Diem. Random fact: Hula Hula hosted Beyonce and Jay-Z a couple years back, that might be enough reason on it’s own to check out this beach bar. Photo by Christine Zenio as found on Flickr Heading to one of these beaches is a fun, relaxing way to get into the party mood. All islands have beach bars with music, drinks, and snacks, and comfortable beach chairs are also available for rent (around 70-80 kuna for the day). Favourite islands for day parties include Jerolim, Stipanska (same island as Carpe Diem), and Palmizana. Grab a water taxi to one of the outlying islands and spend the day at a beach bar where you can swim, drink, and dance under the sun. There’s really no reason to wait for the sun to go down to party in Hvar. So if you are headed to Hvar and want to get in on the partying that this Croatian island is known for, here’s what to do and where to go. And while the city is beautiful to explore by day, the town definitely comes alive at night. It’s no wonder that superstar celebrities and billion dollar business men frequently call on this port. Hvar is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. By booking through these links I may make a small commission (which I am very grateful for!) at no extra cost to you.
